Juvenile Felony Gun Charge Reduced to Misdemeanor
September 2025
Attorney Christopher Fogt represented a child who got in trouble with police for being intoxicated and having a firearm. He was charged with Carrying Concealed Weapons (a fourth-degree felony), Using Weapons While Intoxicated (a first-degree misdemeanor), and Underage Possession of Alcohol (a third-degree misdemeanor). Attorney Fogt managed to get the Concealed Weapon charge reduced from a fourth-degree felony to just a first-degree misdemeanor and the Underage Possession of Alcohol charge was dropped. As a result, the juvenile was only adjudicated of two misdemeanors and sentenced to serve six months of probation. The outcome helped protect the child's record to ensure he has the best chance at a bright future.
