Military Veteran Receives Probation
March 2020
Client is a military veteran who was charged with Felonious Assault (serious harm), a second-degree felony; Domestic Violence (knowingly), a first-degree misdemeanor; and Violation of a Protection Order, a first-degree misdemeanor. Client was only convicted of one charge, Felonious Assault (serious harm). If convicted on all charges, Client could have been sentenced to almost three years in prison. Client was only sentenced to 5 years of probation. To help negotiate the best possible outcome, Attorney Fogt worked with the local Veteran's Affairs (VA) to ensure that Client's prior military service was recognized and taken into consideration.
